On Saturday 16th 2016 Aaron Rodgers and the Packers faced off with the Arizona Cardinals for a spot in the National Football Championship playoffs. With time expiring and the Packers down by 6, Rodgers launched the football in the air. Soaring down the ball fell in the touchdown in the hands of Jeff Janis.
What is so special about this play is that almost the same exact thing happened in a game against Detroit earlier in the year. “Heartbreaking loss. Congratulations to Arizona for moving on to the NFC championship. It’s a tough game to swallow. Our preparation was excellent. There wasn’t a doubt in our mind we’d win the football game. Tonight was a microcosm of our season, fighting through adversity,” Said Mike McCarthy, Packers Head coach.
